Since the day of creation, we have destined ourselves to discovery and communication. The quest, while rarely static, advances positively and adversely. Polar progression is simultaneous. Adverse progression is inevitable. Positive progression is a blessing, the work of Him through those in His fellowship.
It began in a garden, one man and one woman. The only location known to man kind was the surface beneath their feet. Time passed. Populations grew. The desire to seek a greener pasture, innate in all fleshly beings, surfaced. Life at the equator now branched across continents. The world was not flat. People groups diversified. Lands were charted. Hopes, dreams, pathways rarely interceded. Cardinal directions were born.
The age of exploration motivated migrations to the unknown. It was a race to travel as far as the east is from the west, as far as the south is from the north. The race was a sprint.
Now the earth was thoroughly occupied, every inch consumed by a being. There comes a point where you can only go so far west before you enter the East. The current exploration is not of unknown land, but of unknown worlds and ways of life. We have entered the generation of cardinal collision.
Overpopulation, world affairs, innovations, technology, communication, peace and war have brought us to the present. Cultures will collide. Sparks will flare. Ideas will kindle. Possibilities will abound. Today the East has met the West. The North has mingled with the South.
More so than ever, the earth is contiguous. It has undergone a transformation. Boundaries are bleeding. Our native identities are but a single piece in a greater mosaic. It is a beautiful piece of art, a masterpiece in the making. The artist is you, and I have the privilege of appreciating its splendor.
